Nature ground me — it’s where I draw energy and inspiration to create.
India Grant was born in Byron Bay, where her love for nature and creativity first began. Surrounded by the ocean and rainforest, colours and textures became an integral part of her world as a child.
Before moving to Melbourne to complete her Bachelor of Fashion and Textiles (Sustainable Innovation) at RMIT, India studied a short fashion styling course at FIT in New York City. It was there that she discovered her interest in fashion, but also realised her desire for a path that was more fulfilling and impactful than the conventional industry offered. In recent years, her practice has centred on themes of slowness, natural dyeing with textiles, and exploring colour theories.
India is dedicated to continuous learning and expanding her professional network. Within her studies and personal projects, she has built an extensive portfolio of textile creations and designs. India aspires to work alongside a welcoming, creative community and space where people can feel inspired to explore, design, and make art.
